Dear colleagues,
Thank you for your many contributions for our 48th annual congress to be held in Grenoble from October 25 to 27, 2023. 138 abstracts have been selected for a total of 97 oral presentations and 41 posters. This year, the themes of cell and tissue biomechanics, as well as cardiovascular and respiratory biomechanics have been very popular and will be particularly well represented.
This year's event will focus on two themes symbolic of the Grenoble site and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region:
- Biomechanics and Mountain, the subject of a plenary lecture given by Nicolas Coulmy, head of the scientific department at the French Ski Federation;
- Large instruments and imaging at small scales for biomechanics, notably illustrated by the plenary lecture given by Aurélien Gourrier, CNRS research fellow at LiPhy.
We are also delighted to welcome Estefanìa Peña, professor at the University of Zaragoza, who will be presenting her work on soft tissue biomechanics.
Register before July 16, 2023 to benefit from the preferential rate and find all the information by clicking on the congress banner. The full program is now online.
Don't hesitate to sign-up for the pre-congress workshops offered by the Société de Biomécanique's industrial partners, covering a wide range of topics:
Last but not least, the Société de Biomécanique would like to set up a mentoring program this year, aimed at its active members, in the form of a dedicated exchange time during the congress between mentors and mentees. If you'd like to share your experience or meet senior SB members more easily, sign up before September 15 by sending an e-mail to mentorat_SB. The Société de Biomécanique will take care of the matching and will put mentors and mentees in contact with each other before the congress. Find out more about this initiative here.
