Dear colleagues,

 

Please find below some information following the board of directors of the Société de Biomécanique (SB) which was held on March 22, 2021 by videoconférence.

 

SB 2021 congress. The organizers are doing everything possible to maintain our next annual congress in person, from October 25 to 27 in Saint-Etienne. The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to April 15. Submit your work now, no additionnal delay will be granted. Find all the information on the congress website.

 

Awards and grants. Also, don't forget to apply to the many awards and grants that will be presented at the conference : PhD Award, Young Investigator Award, Poster Award, Jean Vivès Award, Christian Oddou Award, Research collaboration grants or Student grants.

 

CMBBE 2021. Valérie Déplano and Damien Garcia are organizing a special session for the Société de Biomécanique at the next CMBBE symposium scheduled for September 7-9 in Bonn : When biomechanics meets medical imaging for cardiac assessment. Find out more about the CMBBE special sessions here.

 

PhD students invited to SB board. The board of the Société de Biomécanique wishes to have the opinion of young researchers to evolve its priorities. Two PhD students are invited to sit on the board of directors. Please feel free to contact the SB President to express your interest : president_SB@biomecanique.org.

 

SB 2022 congress. For once, the 2022 annual congress of the Société de Biomécanique will be organized in Monastir by the Laboratoire de Recherche Technologie et Imagerie Médicale (LTIM). Its director, Pr. Bedoui, will be responsible for the organizing committee. Between two sessions of the congress, you will have the leisure to discover this small city with a rich history, where superb old monuments fit into modern urbanism, and to relax on its long sandy beaches. 

Blog. Kévin Aubert, winner of the Poster award at the last congress, presents its work on the measurement, during surgery, of bone fragment displacements by digital volume correlation (Article). You too, wether you are a PhD student, a young researcher or an experienced researcher, share your latest research on SB blog!
