Awards and grants SB 2023. As every year, you can apply for numerous awards and grants that will be announced during the congress. The application deadline is set to April 15, 2023 for :
- the Ph.D. award, that recognizes the doctoral work in biomechanics of a young Ph.D. researcher who graduated from a French-speaking university;
- the Young Investigator award, intended for a young scientist, whose research, whether fundamental or applied, is in the fields of the Société de Biomécanique;
- the Jean Vivès award which is specifically aimed at young French-speaking scientists in the field of sports biomechanics;
- the congress grants, that financially help Master and Ph.D. students to participate in the annual SB conference.
The deadline is set to May 15, 2023 to :
- send nominations for Christian Oddou award, to reward a senior scientist who has contributed significantly to biomechanics throughout his/her career;
- apply for Research collaboration grants, funding mobility in the context of collaborative research projects.
Membership 2023. Many of you have already renewed your membership following last email. For the others, do not forget to join your favorite learned society for 2023! It is thanks to you that we contribute to the influence of biomechanics, in particular by the labelling of scientific events or the attribution of excellence awards. Being a member allows you to benefit from preferential rates for our annual congress.
ISB-JSB 2023. For its 50th anniversary, the International Society of Biomechanics Congress is organized jointly with the Japanese Society of Biomechanics in Fukuoka (Japan) from July 30 to August 3, 2023. There is still time to submit your abstract (deadline: February 14) to participate.
