
The International Shoulder Group 2026 Congress was held in Lyon from June 2 to June 3, 2026. One hundred and ten delegates from 15 countries attended the conference. A total of 65 presentations were delivered, including 47 oral presentations and 18 posters. The congress also featured two invited speakers, Professor Evie Vereecke and Professor Ann Cools, who presented their work on the evolution of the shoulder complex from animals to humans, and on the use of biomechanical tools in shoulder rehabilitation, respectively. In addition, a round table on shoulder arthroplasty, offering a joint biomechanical and clinical perspective, was co-organized by the ISG and SECEC. Finally, 26 abstracts were published in Volume 3 of the Multidisciplinary Biomechanics Journal.
