We are pleased to announce the organisation of Euromech Colloquium 670, entitled Breaking barriers in soft tissue research: collaborative insights and future directions , which will take place on 9–10 April 2026 in Rennes, France, at the Inria Conference Centre.
Biological soft tissue characterisation is a key research area with wide-ranging implications, from the development of biocompatible devices and tissue-mimicking materials to improved clinical diagnosis and treatment strategies. The inherently multiscale and multiphysics nature of these materials presents major experimental and numerical challenges, calling for strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
This colloquium aims to provide a dedicated forum for researchers from biomechanics, materials science, computational modelling, and clinical and industrial applications to exchange ideas and discuss recent advances. The programme will cover topics including:
- Connecting cellular and tissue mechanics
- Innovative in vitro and in vivo experimental techniques
- Advanced constitutive models
- Clinical and industrial applications
- Current challenges and future research directions
We warmly invite you to participate. All relevant information regarding the scientific programme, registration, and submission guidelines is available on the event website: https://670.euromech.org/
